What We Do
The Germantown Community Fridges, located in Philadelphia, are
dedicated to fighting hunger and food insecurity and provide healthy free food in Germantown. Stocked by the community, for the community, anyone who needs food is welcome to take it. The fridges are maintained and stocked by volunteers and community members. Click below to learn more about the fridges.

Community Partners
The Germantown Community Fridges are supported by an incredible network of community partners who donate to the fridges on a regular basis. These partners include Northwest Mutual Aid Collective, Sharing Excess, Bredenbecks, Weavers Way Co-Op, Merzbacher's Bakery, Crust Vegan Bakery, Germantown Kitchen Garden, Taproot Farms, Philly Food Works, Philly Food Rescue, Food Connect and others. We thank these partners. If you are interested in making a one-time or regular donation, please contact us, we would love to work with you.
Volunteer
There are many ways you can get involved with the fridges. Our amazing volunteers help us with many different tasks including but not limited to: checking in on the fridges, cleaning fridges and breaking down boxes, picking up donations from community partners, grocery shopping, and more. If you are interested in volunteering, more information is available using the link below.

Donate
The fridges rely on generous donations from community members and those caring about us from afar. We accept food donations and monetary donations via Venmo and CashApp. Or you can purchase something from our Amazon or Target Wishlists, and we'll deliver it to the fridges and pantries on your behalf!
